Inspired by the vision of an Orangerie after a light snow, we filled the grand ballroom at the Chicago Hilton with living 24ft. Orange trees. The bandstand was framed by a custom built lattice hedge of fresh, snow encrusted winter citrus while Paul Montgomery’s hand painted chinoiserie wall paper was projected onto the drapery behind. Shimmering limequat, kumquat and gardenia branches interspersed with amaryllis and celadon cymbidium orchids decorated half of the tables while soaring 5ft. fruited kumquat topiaries potted in French clay graced the others.
